About

As artisan producers of bee products, the founders of Sweetree Honey are involved in every aspect of their business. From bee husbandry, to harvesting, processing, packing and point of sale. Every effort is made to maintain the natural properties of Sweetree Honey and Bee Pollen.

Much like a great wine reflects the terroir of where the grapes have grown, Sweetree Honey’s different varieties reflect the area and season the bees worked their magic. For this reason, they choose our sites carefully and never mix honey from different locations. Each apiary location has its own special nuance and character and this is reflected in the honey when you come to taste it.

Sweetree Honey enjoy offering customers the ‘taste’ of a location.  Customers often comment they love that the honey can bring back memories of a special place to them whether it’s Hamilton Gardens, Hamilton Zoo, Four Brothers Reserve or The Hakarimata Ranges. From the light and creamy coloured honey of the Four Brothers Reserve with an almost caramel flavour to the more peppery Marokopa Summer - there is a Sweetree honey to suit all tastes and occasions.

Unblended honeys are not new, but the fact that Sweetree honeys are not based on a single flower source but the local area and season make their approach special. People who try Sweetree honey often comment how it tastes like the honey they used to have when they were young. It’s much more than just a sweetener.
You can be confident that the honey has not been heated to high temperatures. Raw honey retains the natural goodness that we all associate with honey, that the heat in processing destroys. Ultra-fine filtering is not used, ensuring pollen remains in the honey.  You can also be comfortable knowing you are helping the environment as plastic is avoided the whole way through the process and the honeys come in attractive, recyclable glass jars.

Sweetree Dried Bee Pollen is of a high quality and is collected from Sweetree beehives at the Horsham Down’s apiary near Hamilton. Bee Pollen is an incredible natural source of nutrients, vitamins and minerals. Regular consumption aids your general health and well-being. Just some of the reported benefits of Sweetree Bee Pollen are: sustained energy, enhanced immunity, reduced stress, relief of inflammation, more rested sleep and better skin condition.
